Leading Hungarian boxing promoter Felix Racz are putting together a decent fight card on this coming Friday, in Varpalota, Hungary. During the ten fights that are scheduled to take place at the Gal Gyula Sports Center, the majority of the prospects and potential contenders of the most prominent promotion in the country will be in action.
In the lone title bout of the evening, Renato Egedi (9-1-2, 4 KOs) steps up in competition as he is fighting for the vacant WBO Youth title in a super middleweight matchup against Ukrainian Davyd Gorohovets (8-1, 7 KOs). 22-year-old Egedi is an ambitious prospect. He has quick hands and light footwork and has also found his power recently, winning four of his last five on the inside.
Reigning WBO European champion Zoltan Kovacs (20-5-1, 6 KOs) is meeting Francis Miyeyusho from Tanzania. Kovacs is ranked as high as No. 5 by the WBO at super featherweight. The young talent is the highest rated Hungarian in any of the sanctioning bodies’ lists of top contenders. Miyeyusho (41-17-6, 24 KOs) is a substitute opponent that prevented this match to be a title bout, though the participants have to prepare to go ten rounds.
Hungarian champs Balazs Torteli (13-1, 5 KOs) and Jozsef Darmos (6-1-1, 6 KOs) are both having non-title affairs during the evening. Prospects Balazs Marton and Zoltan Surman Jr will see action in tune-up bouts.
